New reports study impact of telecare funding

Mike Clark from the Telecare Learning and Improvement Network has recently completed an analysis of outcomes from two years of additional Department of Health telecare funding for social care authorities and produced a number of themed reports covering key areas such as dementia.

Detailed information is also available on user numbers and spend levels. Mike is also the co-project lead with Nick Goodwin of the King's Fund on the Whole System Demonstrator Action Network (www.wsdactionnetwork.org.uk (opens new window)).

This programme is developing the evidence base for telecare and telehealth based on one of the largest trials across Kent, Cornwall and Newham and from implementation programmes around the country. 200 people attended the recent events in London and Birmingham to get an update and booking has commenced for the Leeds event on 11 June 2009.
